สวัสดีคะ

ดิฉันชื่อ อริศา คีตะนิธินันท์ เป็นผู้ประสานงานโครงการ Youth Action Fund (Thailand).

Youth Action Fund (Thailand) เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของเครือข่าย Youth Action Fund นาๆชาติของ Open Society Institute-Youth Initiative (OSI-YI) สำหรับประเทศไทยโครงการนี้ให้เงินทุนขนาดเล็ก (ประมาณ 5,000-60,000 บาท) กับโครงการของเยาวชน ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการใช้ "สื่อใหม่" หรือ "new media" ซึ่งรวมไปถึงเทคโนโลยีดิจิตอล เทคโนโลยีด้านการสื่อสาร และระบบเครือข่าย เช่น อินเตอร์เน็ต โทรศัพท์มือถือ การถ่ายภาพ การถ่ายวีดีโอ ฯลฯ เพื่อ:

● การพัฒนาคุณภาพ และ ความก้าวหน้าทางเทคโนโลยีของ "สื่อใหม่" (new media)

● ความเสมอภาคทางด้านกฎหมาย และ การเข้าถึงกระบวนการยุติธรรมของคนในสังคม

● การศึกษา โดยเฉพาะในด้าน สิทธิ และ หน้าที่ของประชาชน

● การสังเกตุการการทำงานของรัฐบาลในด้าน สิทธิมนุษยชน และ ประชาธิปไตย

● การส่งเสริมและสนับสนุนสิทธิของประชาชนในการมีส่วนร่วมในกระบวนการตัดสินใจของรัฐบาล

ผู้ที่สนใจโครงการนี้สามารถดูรายละเอียดเพิ่มเติมได้ที่ www.youthafasia.org เราเปิดรับแนวคิดโครงการ (concept paper) รอบที่ 1 ตั้งแต่ 15 มิ.ย. - 31 ก.ค. 2552 คะ

To whom it may concern:

My name is Alisa Keetanitinun. I'm a program coordinator for Youth Action Fund (Thailand), an initiative from Open Society Institute-Youth Initiative (OSI-YI), which gives small grants ($200-$2,000) to youth-driven (15-29 years old) projects related to the use of new media, which encompasses digital, computerized, mobile, and networked information and communication technologies, aiming to address the following issues:

-Alternative/new media development

-Access to justice for vulnerable groups

-Citizen education on rights and responsibilities

-Monitoring government's records on human rights and democracy

-Advocacy for the rights of citizens to participate in government decision-making processes

In Southeast Asia, Youth Action Fund is currently available to only youth residing in Thailand; but applicants can be of any nationalities. I thought this program might be of interest to some of the youth/youth groups you work with. Our first round of application is 15th Jun.-31st Jul. 2009.
